Cannot access Azure free storage account

I attempted to create a free storage account in late 2020 (around end of September) and it never created the account. I went to the page that said signup for the free account, it told me I was eligible and accepted the terms to create and then it just sent me back to the page to signup again. I attempted to re-signup and it told me I was not eligible as I had already signed up. I tried numerous time over the last several months to the same results. I do not have any accounts under the storage accounts and when I click add, it takes me back to get a free storage account. How can I actual create the storage account or access the one that should have been created so that I can try out the service for the remainder of the time or have it reset so I actually get the full trial as I should've gotten?

@K. Johnson Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here! For better understanding the issue: May I know what kind subscription are you using?

    1. In which region are you trying to create the Storage account and how(portal, Powershell, CLI and more?
    2. Can you please share the screenshot of the error message?

If you are using Free trial subscription: The free credit subscriptions doesn't provide the same options as a paid subscription. The latter would provide you with an additional menu to pick specific regions, and custom options in redundancy as well.

If you still have credits in your account: Try to sign up using Chrome and in an incognito window or clear all your browser cache and try using the Edge Browser.

    • Make sure you have not used the same Credit Card before that you have used earlier for Creating a Free Azure account.

Based on the error I assume, You don't already have a Microsoft account that uses the same information.

    Hello,

I was attempting to create the storage account from the Azure portal website. It did not ask me for any credit card information or name for the storage account. I only received the option to create the free storage account and when I selected to create it and accept the terms, it redirected me back to the create a free storage account. When I attempted to create the storage account from the Cloud Shell, I did receive an error in regards to "The current subscription type is not permitted to perform operations on any provider namespace. Please use a different subscription." Within Cloud Shell, I was attempting to create it in East US region but I was not given an option initially when attempting to create the free storage to test it out.
