OneNote add-in in Outlook 2016

I utilize the OneNote add-in in Outlook 2016 to manage my Outlook inbox. After I move an e-mail to OneNote, my intent is to remove the e-mail from the Inbox.

It would be helpful if there was an option to remove the e-mail from the Inbox automatically after sending it to OneNote.

Could there be a memo on an e-mail such as "You added this message to OneNote on mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss" ? Preferably, similar to how Outlook adds a memo to e-mails such as "You replied to this e-mail on mm/dd/yyyy" or "This is not the latest message on this topic,"

This would reduce having to sometimes re-verify I have processed an inbox message. Could the memo also indicate what OneNote Notebook & Section the e-mail was placed?

This interoperability would improve the synergy between the two applications.

Best regards

    Hi @Shoda, Stephen J

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Before going further, please kindly accept my warm thanks to your feedback here.

I tried lots of test and research about the features you mentioned above, however, as of now, I'm afraid that there is no existed option in Outlook which could help us achieve those features. The interactions between Outlook and OneNote are very limited for now, you could only got the features as this document says: Send emails and meetings from Outlook to OneNote.

If you have a demand to add these functions to Outlook for Windows, you could create a thread in Outlook User voice, then other users will could vote on it for you, Microsoft may notice it and add it in the later version. Thanks for your understanding!

In addition, considering that you were trying to manage your mailbox items, Outlook Auto Archive feature could better help automatically archive your mailbox items and reduce mailbox size, for more information: Archive older items automatically.
