Form Recognizer layout unable to detect all checkboxes/radio buttons

Hello,
I have forms which have a mixture of text, checkboxes and radio buttons.
While using the UI tool and running layout, it fails to recognize certain checkboxes and radio buttons.
Strangely, the accuracy seems to be better in image based pdfs as compared to text based pdfs for both radio buttons and checkboxes.
It sometimes recognizes the radio buttons as O and checkboxes as X (text rather than selection marks).
Is there any way to solve this issue either by training or modifying the input pdf?

If you run this through the UI tool, it doesn't recognize checkboxes/radio buttons on some pages.
