Environment: Windows 10 20H2 64bit

                  Intel Core i5-8250U

                  Nvidia MX150

                  8 GB RAM

If I use my laptop for memory intesive apps like minecraft for example, it will suffer. But if i use my laptop for normal things it will perform the same.

Is this a memory leak?

Here is the process tab on task manager

I also tried to boot on safe mode and the RAM usage is normal

    Good Day Kurnikov,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

It appears that the Edge is taking most of the usage, first since you have Malwarebytes, please try to open the Malwarebytes app and perform a scan. and check if there are any malwares or adwares running in your system.

You can try to Reset the Edge and check for Updates after.

    Reset the Edge

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.

    -Go to Settings

    -Look for Reset Settings

-Click Restore settings to their default values.

(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

    Check for Updates of Edge.

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.

    -Go to Settings

    -Click "About Microsoft Edge"

The Edge browser will check for Updates automatically.

Once the updates is installed, restart your computer using cleanboot.

After restart check the task manager.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

    Good Day Kurnikov,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, did you try the steps I posted like scanning your device using Malwarebytes and installing the latest version of Edge?

If not please do so, perform cleanboot and check the task manager after.

If the issue persists, perform Repair Upgrade, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files. This will also update your device to the latest version of Windows which is the 21H1.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Click “Download Tool Now”

    Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".

Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".

    Step 5: Let it install

Once done restart and check the task manager.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
