Cannot remove/add Bluetooth devices

I am having issues with Bluetooth drivers. Here are some issues:

  1. I can't remove, add or pair any bluetooth devices.
  2. Troubleshooter is saying there are no issues found
  3. Missing Generic Bluetooth Radio from Device Manager. Bluetooth device, intel wireless and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator are all present.
  4. Uninstalling, Disabling, updating drivers does not work for any of them; all drivers are up to date.
  5. Tried multiple devices, none work but still connect to phone
  6. Tried two bluetooth dongles. Both work on other PC.
  7. Windows is up to date and all optional drivers are installed.

Any suggestions?

    Hello, sorry for the delay.

Device Manufacturer? Referring to Motherboard? It is a ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) running Windows 10

    USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_8891

    USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001

I was able to connect it somehow earlier but the Bluetooth connection was terrible. I then restarted my PC and was unable to get it to connect again. I've tried two different Bluetooth 4.0 dongles and both are giving me the same issue.

    Sorry for the late response.

Try to update the driver from the Device Manager.

Open Device Manager >> click Bluetooth >> right- click your Generic Bluetooth Radio driver >> click Update Driver.

If that didn't help, I think it's better that you perform a repair/in-place to fix the system.

    Follow the instructions below.

    A. Downloading the Windows 10 ISO file.

    1. Download the tool (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209), and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    2. If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
    3. On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC and then select Next.
    4. Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. (Select the same as the currently installed system on your PC)
    5. In "Select which media you want to use", Select ISO file then click Next.
    6. Select the download location then click Save.
    7. Windows 10 ISO file will be downloaded,

    B. Repair Upgrade installation.

    1. Right-click Windows 10 ISO file and click Mount.
    2. Open/run the Setup.exe.
    3. The preparation starts
    4. To get important updates, select Download and install updates. (Wait while checking for updates).
    5. Accept the terms of the license agreement
    6. The installation is ready to be applied, verify the information and ensure that "Keep personal files and applications is checked".
    7. Click on Install to start the upgrade.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

    Hi VinceGiordano1,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

If the issue just happened recently, I will first recommend that you try to use System Restore to restore your Windows to the point before the issue persists.

Open Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection > System Restore then follow screen instructions.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
