Unkillable process.

I found out about a task called "SAntivirus" on my computer but no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it.

I am an administrator on my computer but when trying to delete the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital Communications\SAntivirus I am told I require administrator permission to delete it.

I tried deleting the "Digital Communications" Folder too but I am met with the same administrator requirements.

I tried ending the task in Task Manager but my access was denied. I also tried ending the process tree in the "Details" section of Task Manager but got the same results. Giving myself permission in the "Security" section on task manager for the program also didn't work.

I tried using cmd with the command "TASKKILL /im 'SAntivirusClient.exe /f" but I am met with this:

ERROR: The process "SAntivirusClient.exe" with PID 7688 could not be terminated.

Reason: Access is denied.

ERROR: The process "SAntivirusClient.exe" with PID 14408 could not be terminated.

Reason: Access is denied.

I also used a program called "Process Hacker" but I was also my access was denied.

Is there any possible fix to this? I've tried everything I can think of. The only problem with it is that it used around 3MB of my disk on task manager but I can live with it if I have to.

Thanks!

Hi Carlo, I appreciate the very helpful response. But my computer unfortunately and hopefully unrelated to the malware, had suddenly died. A replacement part is on the way so I should be able to try these methods. But for the time being, I currently have no device I need to try these on.

I apologize for the poor timing of this.
