When I tried to shut down, sleep, or hibernate pc BSOD occurred with the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE stopcode. I tried these things to fix that but it was not fixed.

  • sfc /scannow - no issues found.
  • Set Maximum Power savings to Link State Power Management in PCI Express & set Maximum Performance to wireless adapter settings.
  • Reinstalled the Display adapter driver software.
  • REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service" & net start msiserver.
  • Upadate all drivers.

Plaease help me to fix this issue.

Thanks.

    Hi SUJAYA,

I'm Paul, I hope I can help you with your concern.

Please upload the minidump files Windows created when you encountered BSOD. It will help us determine what caused the PC to crash.

    1. Open Windows File Explorer
    2. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump
    3. Zip those files
    4. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.).
    5. Then share the link here.

    Thanks.

Try to install a different or older version of the driver.

I already uninstalled my display driver and reinstall it through Intel Driver Support Assistant.

The minidump file indicated "igdkmd64.sys" which is the Intel display driver.

I recommend that you use the Intel Driver Support Assistant to update the driver.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support...

If that didn't help, I suggest that you clean uninstall the Display driver then install an older or different driver version from the PC manufacturer or Intel support website.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
