SharePoint List with Sub items

Hi, I want to create items in a list with sub items. Similar to a database. for example I have a staff member who may have taught multiple units over a period of years and terms. I want to create one items (staff member) with multiple sub items with would list the unit they taught, the year, location and term. I want to be able to search by the unit so I can see all staff members who have taught that unit and the location.

Can this be done in a SharePoint list or Microsoft List? Where I could report on it via Power Apps?

thanks,
Vicky Bryson

    @Vicky Bryson ,

    I think we cannot create sub-items in SharePoint custom list/Microsoft list or Power Apps.

    As a workaround, we suggest you create items with metadata including staff,unit,year,location and term and so on, then we could filter view based on unit and location column, see all staff members who have taught which unit and location.

    @JulieWang-MSFT thank you for your answer. I will create a database with staff details then I will create another list using look up with the staff database. I can then use Power BI for reporting of both lists. thanks
