Folder hyperlink sent through email

I think this cannot be done - PLEASE prove me wrong:

I have a staff of 20, all with varying windows knowledge. Some have zero. So to make this process as simple as possible would be ideal.

I want to send them an email with a document, and also a hyperlink to the folder on their computer to where the document needs to go.

The path is simple - %AppData%\Microsoft\Templates, however it doesnt work.

How I've been applying the hyperlink is this:

In the body of an Outlook email, I enter the phrase 'Click here', select it and Insert > link, and then enter the folder path.

Any help - even a 'no, it cant be done' - would be appreciated :)

    Hi Robert4472,

Good day! This is Jhakesong and I will be happy to assist you with this.

You mentioned that you want to send a link of a folder from your computer to another user via email. This is more like folder sharing over a network. See if the method described in this article helps you.

The article will provide you ways how to link a folder/file by creating and sharing its path.

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!

    Hi JhakeSong.

Thank you for your response, however this isn't be a shared folder situation - each staff member's template folder is different.

    Hi Robert4472,

Thanks for replying. Are they trying to share each others template folder?
