Hi Shripad. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

The .xlxs file type is the Excel default file type, and it already has Excel set to open it in your Default App Settings.

What do you want to change it to if not the default Excel file type which it already is set to open with?

    Hi Greg,

    Many thanks for quick reply.

My question is if you see in image shared by me, you can see that just below .XSLX file it is showing XLSX File. actually it should be Microsoft excel workbook by default.

I am not able to change it.

Kindly help, because of this I am facing problems many time.

    Thanks,

    Shripad Mokashe

    Hi Shripad -

See if one of these works to change the default back:
