I am unable to save an excel document on MAC. I have full administrative rights and the error I'm receiving states to contact your admin about your office plan. The other people in our office who have the same type of profile as myself and same MAC computers do not have this issue. Any insight is appreciated.

    Hi @Steph Gentz ,

According to your description, is the detailed error message "Your account doesn't allow editing on a mac. To learn more, contact your Admin about your office plan."?
If no, please provide a screenshot of it to better troubleshoot this issue.
If yes, it seems to relate to your Office license. Please refer to the below.

What version of your Office for Mac are you using?
Please firstly update it to the latest version to have check.

If you are using a subscription version of Office, like Microsoft 365. You could try the following to see if it helps.

    1. Log in to Office 365 portal and go to Settings>Office 365>subscriptions to make sure you have the license of Microsoft 365.
    2. Removing potentially corrupted files to check this issue.
      • Sign out Office account and closed all Office apps.
      • Go to the Library folder, open Group Containers to delete UBF8T346G9. ms, UBF8T346G9.Office, UBF8T346G9.OfficeOsfWebHost files and empty the trash.
      • Reopen one Office app and log in to your Microsoft account.

Besides, in order to analyze this issue better, I have the following questions.

    1. Do other Office applications(such as Word, PowerPoint) have this issue?
If all the other Office applications could work, I suggest you try using the Office 365 for Mac license removal tool to remove all the license on this Mac. Then sign back in the Office application with the your account.
    2. Do all Excel files have this issue? You may create a new file to have a check.
    3. Where did you save the Excel file? Please save it to another local location to check this issue.

If the above do not work, you could also try to uninstall your Office completely and reinstall it.

Any updates, please let me know.
