Windows Security not working/missing since Windows 11 update

Ever since I've upgraded to Windows 11, Window's Security has stopped functioning properly. The weird thing is, if I try to search for it via the Apps & Features page, it doesn't show up, but if I search for it via the general search term on the toolbar it DOES show up but then not even open up.

I've tried reinstalling Windows 11 with a fresh version but that didn't fix my issue so does anyone know what could be wrong with it?

    Hi DP5Robertson-

Thank you for keeping me posted.

    Kindly open Powershell (admin)

    Copy and paste this command:

    Add-AppxPackage -Register –DisableDevelopmentMode "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.SecHealthUI_cw5n1h2txyewy\AppXManifest.xml"

Hit enter and wait for it to finish. Restart the computer and try it again.

If issue persists, try this command:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage

Hit enter and wait for it to finish. Restart the computer then check it again.

Please let me know what will happen. Hope this will help and have a blessed day!

    Thanks,

    Kevin B.

    Well good news bad news:

Bad news, even after reinstalling Windows through that method, it still doesn't work

The good news however, is that the window actually opens up now

Even then however the computer still thinks that Defender isn't there as the Apps and Features window doesn't have Defender show up anywhere in it.

    Hi DP5Robertson -

I'm Kevin B., I do apologize for the inconvenience that you're experiencing right now, let me help you sort things out.

Do you have any other anti-malware software installed on your computer? Or any security software installed?

If so, kindly remove them from your computer and check if Windows Security opens

If non, kindly try to reset the Windows Security setting on your windows computer and check if it helps restoring the windows security

Using the Cortana search box, search for Windows Security

Right click on the resulting search result

    Select App Settings

    Scroll down and select Reset

Wait for the process to complete

Restart the computer and check if the security works

If the above method did not fix the issue, Kindly try to create a new user profile on your windows and check if the Windows Security works
