windows update does not complete checking for updates. I get error message (0x800705b4). w 11, winver 24H2 (OS build 26100.3476). Help would be much appreciated, thank you.

HELLO.

windows update does not complete checking for updates with the auto update on. If off I get error message (0x800705b4).

Winver reports windows 11 version 24H2 OS build 26100.3476 which suggests the march update.

Update reports last checked on 30/03/25, however, update history states that both

2025-03 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5054979)

and

2025-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5053598)

were successfully installed 5/4/252025

The update help section gives no info re failure to complete the check.

I am reluctant to try uninstalling the last update in case no updates will ever be found.

Any advice would be much appreciated,
