Hello

I have a problem with shutdown.exe on my Windows PCs. I’m using Active Directory to create a GPO that should automatically shut down our warehouse PCs, but shutdown.exe is not working correctly. It restarts the system instead of shutting down the PCs. What could be causing this?

    Hi,

    The command should be this:

    shutdown /s /t 0

    On a sample test computer,

    1. Press Win + R, type powercfg.cpl, and press Enter.
    2. Select Choose what the power buttons do.
    3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
    4. Uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended) and save changes.

Check if the GPO works after this.
