Hello..
I have some wierd problem with Word 2016 on Windows 10 20H2
In Word I cannot add some shapes (cloud, star). When choosing them nothing happens. It works fine on Windows 1909, it works fine in Excel. Also you can copy cloud shape from Excel to Word and it will show up but cannot add it in Word directly.

    Hi @Marcin Prokopiak

I have the following questions to confirm with you.
What detailed version of Office are you using?
Please firstly update it to the latest version to have a check.

    > In Word I cannot add some shapes (cloud, star)

<< Do you mean that other shapes could be inserted in Word directly?

Can these shapes (cloud, star) be inserted in Word before?
If yes, do you have any operations like installing third-party software recently?

Does this issue occur on specific or all Word documents?
If specific Word document, is this document in Compatibility Mode? If so, you may turn off Compatibility Mode to see if this helps.

    • Open File>Info>Compatibility Mode, click Convert.
      List item -

If not in Compatibility Mode, you could repair this document to have a check.

    • Click File>Open>Browse, select this document, in the drop-down list of Open, select Open and Repair.

You could try also the following to check this issue.

    1. Open Word in safe mode to eliminate interference from add-ins and startup items.
      • Press Windows+R, type winword /safe in Run, click OK.
    2. Repair Office.
    3. Uninstall Office completely then reinstall it.

Any updates, please let me know.

Thank you, It works fine in safe mode so I disabled Azure Info Protection and it works again.
Wierd thing is that it works fine on 1909 with MIP enabled, so I will consider it as a bug with 20H2, O2016 with MIP
