Screen flashes

Every time I turn on my computer, the screen just flashes in grey and black. No option to click on anything, just black screen and the task bar flashing all the time. It started today, first time that I turned it on today. Yesterday all I did was download the game "Once Human" and upload a video to YouTube. And it was working fine. Idk what happened, how do I fix it?

You're not annoying at all, thanks for the clear details!

Since restarting the graphics driver didn't resolve it, let's perform a simple step to fix potential issues related to Windows Explorer or recent software conflicts.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager. Once it's open, click on File > Run new task, type explorer.exe, then press Enter.

This step will restart your desktop and taskbar, possibly fixing the flashing problem.

If this doesnt work, also try to open this from the Run dialog:

    C:\Windows\ImmersiveControlPanel\SystemSettings.exe

And tell me if it opens your settings. Please try this and let me know how it goes!

(Edit: I did work, sorry lol... it flickers and then goes back to that Taskbar flashing. I'm gonna leave that desc of my screen): it does the same thing every time, when I turn on my computer, I shows my wallpaper screen on one monitor for a second, then it turns black and only the Taskbar is "normal", but even the Taskbar just won't work, it's flashing and doesn't show my apps. My mouse is also visible and I can move it around but I can't click on anything. 😕 (I hope I'm not annoying with this 🙏)

Okay! Then let's try to make the computer usable for at least one time. When you boot into Windows and start seeing your screen flashing... does pressing Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B work? The screen should flicker when doing this. Let me know!

    Hi there!

It's likely related to a graphics driver issue or a recent system change.

First, let's try restarting your computer into Safe Mode to check if the problem persists:

Press and hold the power button until your computer fully shuts down. Then, turn it back on and as soon as you see the Windows logo, press and hold the power button again to shut it down. Repeat this step twice more. After this, Windows should automatically enter Automatic Repair mode.

On the Automatic Repair screen, click "Advanced options", then select "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced options", and click "Startup Settings". Click "Restart", and when the computer restarts, press "4" to enter Safe Mode.

Check if the flashing continues in Safe Mode, and let me know what happens.
