hi., i am having the same issue.
Why Win 11 Does not recongnize my xbox gamesir g7 controller ?
I am experiencing a critical issue with my GameSir G7 SE controller. When I connect it to my Windows PC using a USB-C cable, the system does not recognize the device. Instead, it appears in Device Manager as “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” with error code 43.
Steps Already Tried :
- Connected the controller to different USB ports (front and back)
- Used multiple USB-C cables that support data transfer
- Entered firmware update mode (holding Xbox + M while plugging in) – controller not detected
- Installed GameSir Nexus software – the controller did not show up
- Uninstalled the device from Device Manager and restarted – issue persisted
- Update Windows – no change
- Installed GameSir Nexus manually (including the required security certificate) – still not detected
System Information :
WIN 11 22H2
Biostar B550mh 3.0

2025-06-09T15:21:24+00:00 Hello, Morad!
You should check for further assistance from GameSir | Support as it's not an official Xbox controller I would recommend getting in touch with their support team for more help.

2025-06-06T07:38:19+00:00 Hello, I'm Ahmed!
I totally understand the issue and sorry you've been experiencing this with the controller, The error code 43 means the system has stopped a device because it has reported problems. This often happens when a USB device isn't recognized properly.
It is amazing that you have tried these troubleshooting steps which certainly made things clearer for us. Here are additional troubleshooting steps to confirm where the issue is coming from:
- Use a USB 3.0 Port Specifically
Some users found success by connecting the controller to a USB 3.0 port via a powered USB hub or extension. - Firmware update Via USB 3.0 If you can get the controller recognized even briefly via USB 3.0, try updating the firmware to version 6.30.
- Try another PC If possible, test the controller on a different Windows 10/11 machine. If it’s detected there, the issue is likely with your current PC’s USB controller or power delivery.
I hope that helps and clear out where might be the issue coming from and let us know if the issue still persists.
