It sounds like you're struggling with a pretty common issue when using remote desktop connections. Even though you've checked off the local resources to be used in the remote session, it doesn't always mean your webcam will work. This is because standard remote desktop protocols often lack the capability to handle the high bandwidth and specific drivers that webcams need to function properly over a remote session.

Give USB Network Gate a shot https://www.net-usb.com/usb-over-rdp/how-to-use-webcam-over-rdp/. Its a software tool that allows you to share any USB device, including webcams, over a network. By using this tool, you can make your remote computer see and use the webcam as if it's directly connected to it.

This should help get your webcam working.

Hi, Client Configuration The following GPOs needs to be applied on a client PC: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Connection Client > RemoteFX USB Device Redirection - set "Allow RDP redirection of other supported RemoteFX USB devices from this computer" option to Enabled. Please ensure that the RemoteFX USB Redirection Access Rights are set to "Administrators and Users" for this GPO. ![95590-image.png][1] Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Device and Resource Redirection - set "Allow audio and video playback redirection" to Enabled Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Device and Resource Redirection - set "Do not allow supported Plug and Play device redirection" to Disabled Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Device and Resource Redirection > set "Do not allow video capture redirection" to Disabled ![95490-annotation-2021-05-11-224917.png][2] Server Configuration The following GPOs needs to be applied on RD Session Host: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services> Remote Desktop Session Host > Remote Session Environment > RemoteFX for Windows Server 2008 R2 -set "Configure RemoteFX" to Enabled ![95652-annotation-2021-05-11-225558.png][3] Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host - set "Do not allow supported Plug and Play device redirection" to Disabled ![95636-annotation-2021-05-11-230057.png][4] The GPOs above are the required for the web camera's redirection. Hi, First of all, you need the group policy settings if you have clients that need RemoteFX capability. Refer to this link: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/security-compliance-identity/introducing-microsoft-remotefx-usb-redirection-part-1/ba-p/247035 Second, for troubleshooting, please test to see if you can redirect your webcam manually. For example: On client PC on LAN, open Remote Desktop Connection, "Local Resources" -- "More" tab. Does the Webcam show up under Other supported RemoteFX USB devices so that you can select it? If yes, select the Webcam and continue. If no, that is a red flag that RemoteFX isn't enabled on the workstation or the USB device isn't being detected. Let’s enable RemoteFX USB redirection on the clients In order to redirect USB devices from a given machine, the RemoteFX USB redirection feature must be enabled. In Group Policy, navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Connection Client/RemoteFX USB Device Redirection, and edit “Allow RDP redirection of other supported RemoteFX USB devices from this computer.” ![95242-image.png][1] Enable the policy, and specify whether you wish to allow all users or only admins to redirect devices. On the client machines, run “gpupdate /force” (without quotes) from an Administrator command prompt to enable/disable the feature, and then restart the computer for the changes to take effect. The feature will not work until you restart. ![95168-image.png][2] If you deploy an RDS environment, enter the FQDN of one of the RDSH servers for the collection you want to test with and Connect, fullscreen mode. You will likely receive cert warning and may be redirected to another RDSH, both are expected during this test. Once connected, does the Webcam show up in Device Manager in the session? On the Remote Desktop Connection bar at the top please check if Devices (computer) icon shows up. When you click the icon you should see the Webcam listed with the word (redirected) next to it. Please reply back with your results. If the answer is helpful, please click "Accept Answer" and upvote it.
