USB Disconnect Sound

I have been hearing the USB disconnect sound on my Win10 device this afternoon however nothing is being plugged in/unplugged. The only USB device plugged in is my keyboard (mouse is over Bluetooth).

I've kept track of the exact time of the sound being played and tracked it down in Event Viewer, which seems to have a pattern, as shown below. For reference, the USB sound appears to correspond to the 'User Account Management' entry, in this case at the time 17:39:19. Each time the sound plays, the Logon/Special Logon entries are repeated 3 times in the minutes leading up to the sound.

The pattern stays true for the previous two times the sound has been heard.

I've checked that all USB controllers have up-to-date drivers, and I am running Windows 10 Pro, build 19042.
If anyone has any tips/suggestions that would be great.

    Hello @Michael Kennett ,

    Thank you for posting here.

You can try to unplug in your keyboard if possible, then check whether there are Event ID 4672 and Event ID 4624 generates during the keyboard unplugged.

Also, would you please show us the general information about Event ID 4672 and Event ID 4624?

    For example:

    Reference.
4672(S): Special privileges assigned to new logon.

4624(S): An account was successfully logged on.

Hope the information above is helpful.

Should you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou
