After a day or 2 file explorer crashes I can usually reopen a folder I have on my desktop for a bit but when I click file explorer on the taskbar it crashes. I have two similar warnings from event viewer here.

    Hi,

I appreciate your response. Here are additional steps you may perform:

    1. Restart File Explorer

    Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc)

    Click on Run New task

Tick the checkbox for "Run this task with administrative privileges."

    Type in "Explorer.exe"

Check if the file explorer will open

    1. Run SFC and DISM by following the steps on this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-t...

Let me know how it goes. Thank you.

It started up fine through task manager and then I ran sfc and dism. I haven't restarted and tried opening file explorer yet but I'll let you know.

It didn't work. After reset I tried opening File Explorer from taskbar and it crashed immediately. But I can open folders from the desktop.
