Quickly Move Mouse Pointer Between Displays

There is a topic located at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/keyboard-shortcut-to-move-cursor-between-2/31c64548-5daa-4601-9b08-9275c1df6876 in which the initiator inquires about a way to move the mouse pointer between displays via the keyboard. It was noted (by Dave) that there isn’t a shortcut for it. Unless something changed in an update, I remember discovering a shortcut that moves the mouse pointer between the displays and shows the circles that appear when “Show location of the pointer when I press the CTRL key.” is enabled. The Shift key could also be used to move it the opposite direction. I don’t remember what the shortcut was, though. But, depending on the objective of the person exactly, Asoftech Automation allows moving the mouse pointer to any set of coordinates, either fixed or relative to current position, by pressing a key or key combination. A test of a keyboard shortcut that I thought might have been the one that I used (Windows + ` [grave accent, usually to the left of !/1 and above Tab]). However, the mouse pointer was not moved. It seems that either: 1) I am remembering incorrectly what the shortcut was or 2) it was indeed removed. Why it would have been removed, I am not sure.

Hello, my name is Anis. I'll be glad to help you today.

Currently there is no keyboard shortcut to switch the mouse pointer between monitors, but you can press Windows+Shift+Left/RIght arrow keys to switch an open window between monitors.

Thank you for the reply, Anish. I was indeed unable to reproduce the behavior that I had discovered before. In that case, as I mentioned in my previous post, depending on what the other person’s objective was with moving the mouse pointer, such an application as Asoftech Automation might be his or her best bet.

I totally understand your point. There might be a few third-party applications which can switch the mouse pointer. But, I am forbidden to suggest any third-party software because they can be harmful sometimes.

At this moment, there is no native app or settings to assign a Keyboard Shortcut for switching the mouse pointer between multiple monitors. You can switch the entire window between monitors though.

Anish, I have found out how I managed to quickly move my mouse pointer between multiple displays via the keyboard. It tuns out that a program by the name of Actual Window Manager allows moving the mouse pointer between multiple displays via a pair of keyboard shortcut (by default, Windows + [grave accent] and Shift + Windows + [still grave accent]). Although I have been using Actual Window Manager for years now, I was unaware that it was the reason that my mouse pointer moved when Windows + ` was pressed.
