Hi CAROL LYNN DAVIS.
Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.
In your description, you found that you were unable to set the hibernation feature.
I note that you have tried a number of steps and have patiently provided us with screenshots of the System Information, powercfg command, Power Plan in the Control Panel, and the Power Settings page on your system. I appreciate your efforts and attempts to resolve this issue, and I understand the frustration of not being able to set the hibernation time in the settings at this time.
We would like to know more about this so that we can help you more accurately.
You mentioned that you tried the steps in the community, so could you please let me know what steps you tried?
This will help us determine for you why the problem is occurring.
We are confused about this issue as well.
We tried to test as much as we could for you.
We looked for multiple test machines and used powercfg on different test machines and checked the power settings.
In the end, we were on the same computer (laptop) with Windows 11 Pro, and after running the command powercfg /A, again, hibernation mode was only supported for S0.
We checked the power plan, and the power settings on such a device, and we found that the hibernate after setting was also present in the power settings.
So there is indeed an error in the relevant settings.
We can start by troubleshooting the error from the account profile. You can refer to the following link to create a new local administrator account.
Manage User Accounts in Windows - Microsoft Support
In the new local account, check if the same issue exists.
If the same hibernation cannot be set in the settings of the new local account, or the hibernation feature is not displayed, then it means that there is a serious corruption in the system related features.
We suggest that you try resetting your computer by right-clicking on the Start button, selecting Settings, and then here in System, Recovery, through the function Reset this PC, and during the process of resetting your computer, please choose to keep your data and files.
If this doesn't help you either, then you need to reinstall Windows to see if it can help you restore the hibernation feature.
Before reinstalling Windows, please backup your data.
Then refer to the link below to complete the Windows 11 reinstallation.
Disclaimer: At this point, we have exhausted all troubleshooting and I recommend that we try to perform a clean install to get your computer back into a working condition. Please ensure that you backup any important data, including Documents, Pictures, Videos, and more.
It's my honor to provide you with some suggestions and I hope my efforts can bring some convenience to you.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Best regards,
