Dear Jeffrey Relf
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
If you have turned off the “Use Windows Hello when filling out passwords” option in Chrome, but Windows Hello still triggers PIN verification when auto-filling passwords or payment information, it may be due to an issue with Windows system settings or integration with Chrome! You may refer to the following solutions to mitigate this issue.
Disable Windows Hello completely
If you don't want Windows Hello to trigger under any circumstances, you can disable it by following these steps:
Turn off the Windows Hello login option:
Press Win + I to open Settings.
Go to Accounts → Sign-in options.
In the Windows Hello section, turn off the following options:
Windows Hello sign-in is required to confirm your identity.
PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition sign-in.
Remove Windows Hello PIN:
In the Sign-in Options, find PIN (Windows Hello). o Click the Remove button (if available).
Click the Remove button (if available).
You will be asked to enter your account password for confirmation.
Disable the Dynamic Lock feature:
In Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options, make sure that Dynamic Lock is not enabled.
Clear Chrome's integration with Windows Hello
Chrome may continue to try to call Windows Hello in the background, even if the setting is turned off. The following steps can help remove this integration:
Reset Chrome settings:
Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu in the upper right corner → Settings. Slide to the bottom of the page and click Reset Settings → Settings.
Slide to the bottom of the page and click Reset Settings → Restore Default Settings.
This will clear all of Chrome's customizations but will not remove your bookmarks and saved passwords.
Clear Chrome cache and data:
Press the shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select the Advanced tab and check the following:
Browsing History
Cookies and other website data
Cached images and files
Click Clear Data.
Check for Chrome extensions:
Open Chrome and type
chrome://extensions/
Disable all extensions and then enable them one by one to verify if any are integrated with Windows Hello.
