I think the iTunes media folder which is located on the users\dump\music\iTunes does not have the necessary permissions or could be due to Windows limitations.
Could you please try moving the iTunes folder to a different location outside of the Users or Dump folder, or during the iTunes Installation process, select the folder outside of the users folder and see if you can share them using the Advanced sharing option.
Let us know how it goes.

2025-03-20T18:31:51+00:00 Hi there, the music folder is on the left hand side but it isn't synced with OneDrive.
I don't know how to check permissions but I am the only user and am listed as administrator.
I'm not sharing it with other people, just our Sonos system. The people at Sonos could get the basic music files shared but not the iTunes folder which has all our playlists etc in it.
I have checked the iTunes folder and it states that it is a shared folder but the Sonos system is unable to access the Itunes folder - on Windows 10 I could access Advanced Sharing but can't find a way to do this on Windows11 - see image below:

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.
Could you let me know exactly where the file or folder is located? If you are talking about the Music folder on the left side of File Explorer, that’s actually linked to OneDrive.
Can you check if you're signed into OneDrive or if there are any sync issues? The "Share" option here is for OneDrive, so it lets you share a folder with someone or create a shareable link.
If the file or folder isn’t in a OneDrive-synced location, make sure you have the right permissions to share it. You can also move it to a different location and see if you can share it using Nearby Sharing or another app.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.
Best regards,
Gunasekar N
