BSOD Errors: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

I’ve been experiencing multiple BSOD errors on my Windows system, including:

  • SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
  • PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
  • KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
  • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

These crashes seem to happen randomly, but mostly when doing gaming

So far i have tried updated all drivers, including GPU and chipset, to ensure compatibility and stability. Additionally, I ran sfc /scannow and DISM to check for corrupted system files, with the results showing no errors found. To rule out memory issues, I performed tests using Windows Memory Diagnostic and Memtest86, which returned pass. Lastly, I assessed disk health using CHKDSK and CrystalDiskInfo, with the results indicating healthy.

Hi Marcelino, thank you for the information. Unfortunately, the specifications you have shared do not meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. The processor you are using is a 4th Generation model, whereas Windows 11 requires an 8th Generation processor or higher.

For more details, you may refer to the link below:

Here's your processor specification: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/product...

Hi, thank you for that information. Unfortunately, if the issue persists, the final option would be to contact a local technician for a physical inspection of the device. Additionally, since all troubleshooting steps have been completed, you may also consider fully reinstalling Windows and checking the device again. If the problem continues after that, it may indicate a hardware issue on the PC.

Hi Marcelino, thank you so much for patiently waiting, as per checking and analyzing the DMP files, there are 2 significant errors on your device, The first is rdyboost.sys, which is the ready boost on the PC that is having conflicts with the memory of the PC, second is WppRecorder.sys this driver is associated with the Windows Performance Toolkit (WPT) and Windows Performance Recorder (WPR), and for us to sort out the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

    Method 1. Disable Ready Boost:

Open Notepad then copy and paste the code below:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers{55B3A0BD-4D28-42fe-8CFB-FA3EDFF969B8}]

Click File > Save as > File name: readyboost.reg > then on Save as type: All files

Once you save it, double click the file, then run.

    Restart the PC and check.

Note: If the issue persists, kindly follow the "Method 4. Disable NTFS compression" from this link: https://windowsreport.com/wpprecorder-sys/
