    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Batch files should open automatically in Windows, unless the file associations are corrupt, or possibly from that error you are seeing, it may be your processor causing the problem.

    Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

    Thank you for the screenshot.

    There is no problem with your processor, so your file associations for .bat files must be corrupt.

    On the link below, scroll down, there is a long table listing all the file types, click the BAT entry in that table to download a registry file.

    Then, right click the reg file you downloaded and select 'Merge', then confirm the merge.

    Restart your PC to apply the changes, that will have reset the file associations for batch files.
