Keys not working for long press function

I can't access or see outcome of long pressing the key, for example if I have to delete a sentence so now instead of long pressing on delete key I've to click on the delete key for the number of times that particular sentence has words. I could do it before but recently i can't. I also tried to see if sticky keys of filter keys are on but they're already off.

    Hi Yusra,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

What about the Repeat key setting?

Windows uses two main settings to control key repeat behavior: the Repeat Delay (how long you must hold a key down before it starts repeating) and the Repeat Rate (how quickly the key repeats once it starts).

    How to check:

Open the Control Panel and search for Keyboard settings.

Adjust the slider for Repeat Delay to a shorter setting and test if the key now repeats as expected.

Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

    Type regedit.exe

    Press Enter.

    Go to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard

Look at the entries for KeyboardDelay and KeyboardSpeed.

Take a screenshot and post in the next reply.
