    Hi IT User CTS

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that you are experiencing problems with the driver (Lvbflt64.sys) not loading properly after upgrading Windows 11 24h2, and I understand very well how you feel!

Here are some possible causes of the problem.

    1. Windows 11 24H2 has strengthened the driver signature verification mechanism, if the driver is not certified by Microsoft (e.g. third-party old version driver), the system will block loading.
    2. The Secure Boot feature may have prevented unofficial or unverified drivers from loading.
    3. Older Logitech drivers are not fully uninstalled, and the residual files conflict with newer drivers or system updates.
    4. Windows Defender or third-party antivirus software may mistakenly mark the driver as a threat.
    5. Logitech camera driver may not have been adapted with 24H2 update.
    6. Windows 11 24H2 has enhanced memory integrity features that may prevent unverified drivers from loading.

    And so on.

I will give you some suggestions and troubleshooting options to hopefully solve your problem or find out what is causing it! However, this is the first time I've replied to this question, so please understand and provide more information in your reply (pictures would be great!). Thank you very much!

Option 1: We try to manually disable driver signature enforcement verification.

This bypasses the signature verification and confirms if it is a driver signature issue.

Click “Windows Logo Key” to open the search bar -> Enter “cmd” in the search bar and open it with administrator privileges -> Please enter the following command

    bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on

Reboot your computer and check if the driver loads properly.

Please note: If you want to re-enable the driver signature verification later, just change on to off.

    bcdedit /set nointegritychecks off

Please note: It is common to go into the BIOS early and turn off Secure Boot before running a command to disable driver signature enforcement verification. Otherwise you may get an error message like “Error setting element data...”.

Option 2: Let's try disabling the Safe Boot settings temporarily to check if the problem still exists.

Reboot the computer and enter the BIOS, find the Secure Boot option, temporarily set it to Disabled -> save and exit, reboot and see if the problem is solved!

Please note: If the problem disappears, you need to contact Logitech to confirm if the driver supports Secure Boot. And you need to ask Logitech to update the driver version and adapt Secure Boot.

Option 3: We try to turn off Memory Integrity temporarily, sometimes the Memory Integrity feature may also cause driver related issues to occur.

Open Settings with “WIN + i” -> select “Privacy and Security” on the left sidebar -> “Windows Security Center” -> “Device Security” -> under “Kernel Isolation”, turn off the “Memory Integrity” switch.

Option 4: We tried to update, manually install Logitech webcam drivers.

Please note: I understand that you have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but in case there are files or registry residues from the old driver causing the problem to persist. I would like to describe this option a little extra.

    1. Update the driver

“WIN + x” and select ‘Device Manager’ -> find your corresponding Logitech device -> right-click on the device and select ‘Update Driver’ -> ‘Automatically search for updated drivers’.

    1. Install generic driver

Also in Device Manager -> Right-click on Logitech device and select “Remove Device” (if there is one, please make sure “Remove Driver” is checked) -> After restarting the computer, the system will automatically search for and install the universal driver.

    1. Manual driver installation (very important)

    (1) We need to clean up the residual drivers with the help of the tools provided by Logitech.

    (2) Manually delete the following folders:

    C:\Program Files\Logitech

    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\lvbfit64.sys (if present)

Normally, it will be saved in these two folder paths, but you need to find the corresponding paths according to the actual usage environment.

Please note: Before deleting, I suggest you backup to other places in advance to avoid other problems caused by operation errors.

Please note: Please try the latest version of the driver as a priority, assuming the problem still exists, we can try some known older and more compatible versions.

Option 5: Adjust Windows security settings.

    1. Turn off real-time protection (temporary):

Press “Win + i” to open Settings, go to Privacy and Security -> Windows Security -> Virus and Threat Protection.

Click “Manage Settings” and turn off “Real-time protection”.

    1. Add the driver folder to the whitelist:

On the “Virus and Threat Protection” page, click “Exclusions” -> Add Exclusions and select the Logitech driver installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Logitech).

Option 6: Assuming the problem persists, we need to try to synchronize the issue with Logitech's branded after-sales or technical support team, who are more familiar with their branded products and may have had other users report similar issues. They may have already written a fix or a more targeted solution, and it's best to have Logitech-branded after-sales or technical support assist with troubleshooting, either remotely or offline.

We also need to confirm the driver adaptation program with Logitech's technical staff.

I realize you may be wondering why the problem needs to be fixed by Logitech.

Here are some detailed explanations to help you understand the situation more clearly.

    1. The Logitech camera driver (e.g. Lvbflt64.sys) is a software component developed specifically for Logitech hardware devices such as cameras. Its role is to ensure that the hardware is able to communicate correctly with the operating system (e.g. Windows 11). If there is a problem with the driver, it is usually because:

    (1) The driver is not adapted to the latest operating system version (e.g. Windows 11 24H2).

    (2) The driver has compatibility problems or bugs.

    (3) The driver has not passed Microsoft's signature verification.

Since the driver is developed and maintained by Logitech, only Logitech can provide updates or fixes that are adapted to the latest system version.

    1. the Windows 11 24H2 update introduced stricter security mechanisms such as:

Memory Integrity: prevents unverified drivers from loading.

Driver Signature Enforcement: Requires all drivers to be verified by Microsoft's signature.

If Logitech's drivers are not updated or adapted for these new mechanisms, the system will prevent them from loading. Only Logitech can update drivers to meet these new requirements.

    1. Microsoft's WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certification is an important standard for ensuring that drivers are compatible with Windows systems. If Logitech's driver is not WHQL certified, Windows 11 24H2 may prevent it from loading.Logitech will need to resubmit the driver for testing and certification.
    2. As a hardware manufacturer, it is Logitech's responsibility to ensure that its devices function properly on the latest operating systems. This includes:

Timely release of drivers adapted to new system versions.

    Fixing known compatibility issues.

Providing technical support to help users resolve problems.

Please allow me to explain for you that I am just a forum support person, not a member of the Windows development team. After seeing your thread, I've already fed this back to the relevant team via the Feedback Center and hopefully the relevant team will be kept in the loop.

Since I have purchased many Logitech products myself, I have informed the Logitech branded technicians of this situation through after-sales channels, and I hope that Logitech's technicians will be able to understand this situation more quickly and follow up with the necessary development and maintenance.

I sincerely hope that the above information and programs will help you! Please feel free to contact me (Photos related to the question would be great!).

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you for your understanding, I really appreciate it!

    Best Regards

    Gerald,

wmbios.sys could be malware or a vulnerable driver used by malware. Please start a new thread to have your system checked. Run a Malwarebytes antimalware scan.
