Hi, This is Ramesh.
If the 24H2 update is not offered for your system yet, it's probably due to the phased rollout. Per Microsoft:
"This new version of Windows has a phased rollout that will begin over the coming weeks, starting with eligible devices running Windows 11, version 22H2 and 23H2 that have the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” set to On. If the update is available for your device, it will download and install automatically."
There may also be a compatibility hold due to incompatible software or drivers installed on the system. For example, incompatible software like AntiCheat driver/service, Voicemeeter driver, etc., can prevent the 24H2 from being delivered to the device.
Note:
24H2 is still a bit buggy, and users are reporting installation failures, crashes, network issues, and performance issues, especially during gaming. I'd suggest delaying the 24H2 update for a few months. 23H2 is more stable and supported until November 2025. It's safe to use.
If you wish to upgrade to 24H2 anyway, use the Windows 11 24H2 ISO. If the setup fails to complete, we can inspect the setup logs and narrow down the issue.
Install 24H2 using an in-place upgrade
- Download Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295
- Run MCT and download the ISO it recommends for your system. Do *not* uncheck "Use the recommended options for this PC".
- Right-click on the downloaded ISO and choose "Mount." This assigns the ISO a drive letter.
- Run setup.exe from the ISO drive. This starts the in-place upgrade.
(Your files, settings and applications will be preserved if you use the ISO recommended for your system by the Media Creation Tool.)
