If your PC is linked to a work account, that automatically adds restrictions to Windows, it is a known side effect.

    Open the Settings App.

    Go to Accounts.

Select Access Work or School, is the work Email listed there?

I am the administrator on the computer. It is my work computer but no limits have been set from our tech team.

To get the recovery key, do I have to know it before I get to the screen asking for the recovery key?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Is your user account a full administrator account on the PC, or did you make any change to your account that may have set it to a standard account with no administrator privileges?

    2

Are you able to use these steps to perform a system restore to a previous date?

Click the power button on your Start menu.

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to

Yes, I am the only one on this computer with no administrator password set up. I am unable to get to that point due the the administrator password window pop up. There is no administrator password set up.

Are you the administrator of the computer? Are you wanting to do a System Restore? If yes, type system restore in the search box and look at what restore points are available.
