Viewing file/directories on samba share in Windows 10 Explorer

I have files and directories on a samba share that are longer than the DOS 8.3 standard, but way shorter than the 200+ limit under Windows 10/NTFS. Whenever I use either Explorer or DIR from the CLI, I only see the "truncated" 8.3 form of the filenames or directories.
I know Windows 10 keeps both the short and long names. The question is How can I get Windows to display the long names off of the samba share? I've gone into the registry and enabled LongPathsEnabled and NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation, but I think this is only for files/directories actually stored on the local machine. My problem is the display of files/directories on the samba share. It seems to insist on displaying the DOS 8.3 names.
