New computer help

Question

I bought a new computer that came with, presumably, windows 11.

It is requiring that I connect to the internet, which i dont have access to.

Please help me

For clarity, i don't want to set up a Microsoft account, I just want to set up a local machine, without internet.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

When you reach the part of the setup that requires a network connection, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.

Run this command in Command Prompt and press Enter: OOBE\BYPASSNRO

When your PC restarts, if Command Prompt opens again, close it, then you should have an option to skip setting up a network, then when setting up the user account, select the option 'I do not know this person's details' to set up a local account.

You would need to tell windows to skip that part.

During oobe press shift+F10 a cmd.exe window will pop up , and in command type oobe\bypassnro and press enter.

Then follow the onscreen directions to finish the set up of the new computer.

It's a shame such a laborious, DOS-based action is required for something so simple. I just wish Windows would stop ruining their products like this
