Hello, I have PC with clear install Windows 11 Pro 24H2. Specs: Gigabyte b650 DS3H, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32 GB RAM, SSD 512 GB.
I tried to turn off VBS with these steps:

  1. bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off2. Turn off Core isolation on Windows Security
  2. Restart PC
  3. VBS still running
  4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity = 0
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity = 0
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuardRequirePlatformSecurityFeatures = 0
  5. Restart PC
  6. VBS still running

After that, I install Windows 10 Pro 22H2 and did this steps:
  7. bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off2. Turn off Core isolation on Windows Security
  8. Restart PC
  9. VBS was turn off
After that, I install Windows 11 Pro 23H2 and did this steps:
  10. bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off2. Turn off Core isolation on Windows Security
  11. Restart PC
  12. VBS was turn off
    I can't use Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 23H3 due to my organisation's security policies.
How to turт off VBS on Windows 11 24H2, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Thank you. With Windows 11 24H2, it is difficult to disable VBS. But there are some workarounds:

    Via https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/1fu...

you have lsa iso with uefi lock enabled, so you need to change loadaptions to disable it.

    Hi,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

There has been a bit of misinformation on the Internet that VBS decreases the device's performance. Do you want to disable due to that?

There is a workaround I have to disable VBS on 24H2 - I will share it in the next reply.

Hi, Sumit! I don't worry about device performance. I am working with VMs and i need to use nested virtualization in it. Vware Workstation Pro can't run my VMs with enable VBS.
