Hello, I have been having random occurrences of BSOD. I have a fairly decent understanding of windows 11 and troubleshooting, however have been unable to find a solution. Any advice would be great!

I also apologize in advance if the information below is not formatted conveniently/is not enough information.

    Hi Kino Derr,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

In your description, you are experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

I note that you have tried to provide us with detailed information, and I appreciate the effort you have put into this issue, and I do understand the distress and chagrin that the random blue screen of deaths that are occurring at the moment are causing you.

Based on your event viewer, it appears that your computer is experiencing hardware errors, Windows Update errors, unexpected system shutdowns, and so on.

Please keep just the necessary hardware for now, such as the USB mouse and keyboard, and then remove some other devices from your computer for now.

Then, if you can't log on to Windows stably, please refer to the following steps to enter Safe Mode.

1 Force shutdown by long-pressing the power button, and then reboot, and so on for three repetitions

2 After the above repeated startups, boot up again, the system will enter the Windows RE interface, and a series of options will appear, please follow the instructions behind me

    3 Click on “Troubleshooting”.

    4 Select “Advanced Options”

    5 Select “Startup Settings”.

6 Click the “Reboot” button and you will see the boot menu, select the number corresponding to Safe Mode to enter Safe Mode.

Check if you can enter the system in Safe Mode.

In Safe Mode, try to find the blue screen log (dump file). In the dump file, there will be more detailed information that will help us find out why the blue screen of death occurred.

    1 Tap Window+R and type sysdm.cpl

2 Go to System Properties and tap the Advanced tab

3 Find Startup and Fault Repair and tap Settings.

4 In Write debug information, select Small memory storage.

5 The following directory will change to

    %SystemRoot%\Minidump

You can memorize this location and if you experience the blue screen again, you can restart your computer and enter this location into Explorer and you can see the .DMP file created under the folder.

You can refer to the link below to share the .DMP file via OneDrive.

Share OneDrive files and folders - Microsoft Support

If you are not using OneDrive, please also let me know and I will initiate a private message with you where you can upload the dump file directly to me.

We will provide further assistance to you after analyzing your blue screen log file.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards,

Zev - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
