How to make Copilot exit completely instead of minimizing to system tray?

Question

I VERY much dislike apps that go into system tray and I was wondering how to make Copilot exit completely instead of minimizing into the system tray. Are there settings that I can tweak so I can accomplish this?
I searched through the Internet and it said that Copilot's settings can be accessed through the Microsoft 365 app, but that can't be right, can it? So, I need confirmation on that too. If true, I won't buy a subscription to that service only to get to access to the so-called Copilot settings.

Hi Gustavo, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

Did you download the app from the Microsoft Store? If so, the current app from the Microsoft Store does not offer an option to prevent it from minimizing to the system tray. As a workaround, you may install Copilot from Microsoft Edge instead. This is similar to the Store's app, but it doesn't minimize to the system tray.

To do this,

• Open Microsoft Edge then go to https://copilot.microsoft.com
• Click the three-dots on the upper right of Microsoft Edge > Apps > Install this site as an app
