LiveKernelEvent 141 & 1b8

There are two issues.
After playing GPU Demanding games for 1-3 hours usually (sometimes faster) all my screen either turn black, or windows application stops working and i cant continue to play or do anything before i force restart with power button. Discord and other sounds keep working fine.

Fresh windows install, Gpu drivers, AMD CPU Chipset & Updated MOBO.
GPU Temps seems to stay at 75c, sometimes peeking 78c. (Idle 30-40c)
CPU stays at 50-60c. (Idle 40c)
I tried undervolting to 0.9 and underclocking aswell without luck, never over/under clocked/volted before, so could be mistake on my part.
Right now its at default settings.

Hello Jeffery, Thanks for your time.

My GPU is a 3070 sapphire, 5 years old.
I did some check on HWINFO64. GPU would get up to 78-79c, and GPU Hotspot would sometimes hit 105c.
I got help from a friend to undervolt and downclock my GPU, so far its seems like the issue is fixed.
My guess is the thermal paste on GPU is going bad and should be replaced.
However my fix for now is undervolting in MSIAfterburner, Here is what we did:
    Stock Mhz: 1500
    Factory boost mhz: 1725.
We undervolted the GPU to 0.85v
    Flatline at 1700mhz with 0.85v

The reason for flatline at 1700mhz and undervolt to 0.85v is to lower temps with not much of performance boost.
I noticed before i changed this my GPU would overvolt and also go up to 2100mhz

My power supply is 1200w 80gold+

Seems like a found a fix to my issue and will maybe try repasting my GPU in the future.

    Hello, Armir Muharremi.

We appreciate you posting in Microsoft Community.

Benefiting from your detailed description, I've noticed that you are experiencing black screen issues after playing high load games for a while.

I'm glad to have the opportunity to help you with this issue.

A very important message is that the screen goes black, but Discord and other sounds work normally. This is very much like the Graphics card or the Graphics card driver going offline.

Based on the log messages you provided, you can see two LiveKernelEvent events (codes 141 and 1b8), both related to hardware errors. These events indicate that your system encountered a hardware problem at runtime that prevented Windows from working properly.

LiveKernelEvent usually indicates a problem related to system hardware or drivers, especially in the GPU.

However, your video card and CPU are actually performing out of the normal temperature range.

The video card would be the first step we need to troubleshoot.

You can use some third party software to stress test the video card and try a few more but due to the forum rules I can't give you the exact names of these software, you can find them by searching for the relevant content on a search engine.

Also, some additional information would be excellent:

The complete configuration of your computer? Better yet, tell me the size of the power supply as well.

Crashes Where do they mainly occur on games?

Feel free to share with me your results after performing these steps and more information, I will help you further based on your update.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best Regards.
