    Thanks for letting me know.

Since you’re working with additional storage then it is not OSV drive type you should check, could you confirm whether it's an internal secondary SSD or HDD (Fixed Disk Volume – FDV), or an external USB drive (Removable Disk Volume – RDV)?

You can check the drive type directly on the BitLocker page. The Key ID on the recovery screen should match the specific drive you're trying to unlock.

If it’s a secondary internal drive, look for FDV (Fixed Disk Volume). If it’s an external USB drive, it should show as RDV (Removable Disk Volume).

Once we know the drive type, we can make sure you're using the correct recovery key for that device. Let me know what you find.

When you enter the BitLocker recovery key, are you seeing any error messages? If so, could you let me know what it says? It keeps saying that the key does not match. Even my password as I remember??? does not work

Does the Key ID displayed on the BitLocker recovery screen match the one listed alongside your recovery key in your Microsoft account? No. I have tried every possible MS account, and they are all different

Please compare the Key ID to see if it matches, and ensure that the device and drive type (OSV) also match. If the Key ID doesn’t match, it may indicate that the recovery key belongs to a different device or drive. In any cases, please let me know.

I don't want to format the drive (added storage, not OS drive) as it contains info that I don't want to lose
