Hello,

I've been getting a lot of blue crashes this past week and a lot of crashes has to with "Driver Overran Stack Buffer" and I looked online and every one who has issue with this has to with drivers. I am unfamiliar with drivers and I need help. A lot of responses to people I've seen is to get zip file of minidumps and share with others.

If you could please me, I would really appreciate it! Also please let me know if you cannot gain access to the file.

Thank you.

    Hi Nallasamy,

It was working for a week, but I've been suddenly getting blue screens again. If you or anyone else that could help me understand why this keeps happening, I would appreciate it!

Nevermind. I got it to install by installing the driver while in Safe Mode. The problem was that I exited safe mode when DDU restarted after it was finished with the uninstallation process.

    Hi Nals,

    Thanks for your reply!

I downloaded the graphics driver installation file from NVIDIA LINK. However, when I tried to install I get this failed installation and it confuses me. The first thing that stuck out was that it said that HD Audio Driver is not installed which is untrue as I have it installed. The biggest shock was when it said in order to install the 566.36 graphics driver was to...install 566.36. I am really confused on what it means and how I can move forward.

If you can help me further understand why it's like this, please let me know!

Hello, and thanks for reaching out! I'm Nals, and I'll be happy to assist you today.

Based on the minidump analysis, the issue appears to be related to nvlddmkm.sys, which is part of the NVIDIA graphics driver. This typically indicates a problem with the graphics driver or a conflict with the GPU. I recommend performing a clean reinstall of the graphics card driver. This involves completely removing the current driver and then manually installing the recommended version from the manufacturer's website.

    1. Download the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) utility.

**Note: You can find this tool easily by searching for "DDU" in your preferred search engine.

    1. Once you have downloaded DDU, disconnect your computer from the internet to prevent Windows from automatically installing drivers during the process.
    2. Boot your computer into Safe Mode: https://support.microsoft.com/windows/start-you...
    3. Launch the DDU utility and select the option to remove the graphics card driver. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal process.
    4. After the driver has been completely removed, restart your computer.
    5. Once your computer has restarted, go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website. Look for the recommended version of the graphics driver for your specific graphics card model and operating system.
    6. Download the recommended driver and install it manually by following the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer.
    7. After the driver installation is complete, restart your computer again and check if the issue.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to let me know. I'm here to help!

    Best regards,

    Nals
