Windows 11 23H2 does no longer support legacy LAPS. Does anyone know for sure whether 23H2 continues to support legacy Microsoft LAPS emulation mode?

Thank you!

Legacy emulation mode for Microsoft LAPS does not involve using the MSI installer. Instead, it allows Windows LAPS to honor legacy Microsoft LAPS Group Policy settings with some restrictions and limitations. The question is, whether Windows 23H2 is still supporting the old Group Policy settings.

    Hi user6848

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

    Understanding your issue

Windows 11 23H2 no longer supports the older Microsoft LAPS emulation model. As of October 23, 2023, the old Microsoft LAPS product has been deprecated. In Windows 11 23H2, LAPS is integrated into the operating system and the old LAPS MSI client no longer needs to be installed!
