Windows 7 Install Legality

Hello!

I have been trying to get an old computer up and running again and have found a dilemma.

I want to install Windows 7 on to it, as I think it would run the best, and still have a good amount of compatibility. The problem --I as am sure you have already guessed-- is that the official download is gone.

My question is;

If I own a Windows 7 key(I own like 3, 2 of which aren't used, and a Windows 10 key), is it ok (ignoring security and malware and stuff) to download from a site like Archive.org?

    1. You check if your computer manufacturer supplies Windows 7 drivers for your exact model number.
    2. This is a Microsoft website and we can only give authorised links to download from.

    We have no links for 7.

    1. You need Retail or OEM System Builders Licenses, not OEM Dell, HP, etc. licenses to install on a non-originally installed 7 machine.
    2. Download at your own risk.
