Camera Not Working After Windows Update - Code 39 Error

Hi everyone,

After updating Windows, I noticed that my camera cannot be enabled. When I try to use it, I see this error message:

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). Object Name not found"

To troubleshoot, I checked for updates and found an Intel video graphic (VGA) update on the Intel website. I installed it, but unfortunately, the camera issue remains unresolved.

Device: Acer Swift SF314-71

Edition Windows 11 Home Single Language

Version 24H2

Installed on ‎04/‎12/‎2024

OS build 26100.2454

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.36.0

Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows how to fix it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The Intel VGA drivers are for the integrated graphics on your Intel processor.

Did you try re-installing (not update) the version of Webcam drivers that Acer provide for your webcam on the support page for your laptop:
