Hey all,

I have a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i gen 8 with 4080. It is running Win 11 home. Every 10 minutes or so, some apps start to freeze and crash, the cursor starts getting laggy, and then it eventually blue screens. No matter what I have tried, I cannot fix this. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, doing sfc scannow, chkdsk /r /r, and every other thing under the sun. One time after doing chkdsk /r /f it fixed the issue for a couple days, but it has come back. Here are my crash logs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pZhUM25IasvAX7Su3PgUYSdiI3TgUwFa?usp=sharing thank you all so much this issue has made my computer unusable. I hope this can get fixed fast because I need this laptop for school.

Hi Darius, thank you for that information, in this case, I am positive there is a problem with the graphics card itself, moreover, let us make sure that there are no software-related issues, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Kindly follow the steps from this link:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Note: If the issue persists, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues.

    Hi again,

I performed a clean installation, but it did. It did not help and I am still getting the same issue. There are also some messages on the screen like werfault.exe or x application was not able to start correctly, and then a string of characters like x000 etc.

    Hey Bernard,

I will try the clean installation, but since I have a laptop, I cannot uninstall the GPU. I will get back to you if it happens again after the clean installation.

Hi Darius, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today, my timezone is UTC +8.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, as per checking and analyzing the DMP file you have, there is an error in nvlddmkm.sys, which is your Nvidia graphics card driver, for us to fix the issue kindly follow the steps below:

We need to run a clean installation of the Nvidia driver, this is different from doing DDU or updating the driver as this will remove all entries and replace them with compatible ones, kindly follow the steps from the link below:

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

Additional note: If the issue persists, I suggest removing the GPU and placing it into another PCIe port available, however, if all fails, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

    Bernard
