Install Apps and another updates when pending to restart

Hi,

So far I am distributing the Windows Update without force Restart to Stations.
I am now testing to distribute the updates to stations with a restart enforcement.
In the tests I see that after installing the first update, the rest of the updates are not installed but wait until restart.

Is it supposed to be this way?

It is also not possible to install new applications through the Software Center until the station is restarted.
Is there a way to install the other updates and other apps without restarting the station?
I want to wait with the restart of the station until the deadline which is two weeks.

Microsoft's monthly updates sometimes have several updates that require a restart, and it does not make sense to restart the station after installing each one separately.

Thanks
Rash

    Hi @RASH MAAR

In theory, it is possible. We could check the in the Suppress the system restart on the following devices section (screenshot below) then restarts will never be forced by ConfigMgr. No other settings matter if these are checked. ConfigMgr will place an icon in the notification tray and will pop a balloon notification saying that a reboot is required, but it will never force one.

However, we should notice some updates must be restart, which means the complete process of update installation is finished. If we want to install some updates or applications without restarting, it will fail.
