Why is the DTPDB.DB file so big 54.0GB

HI Team

I found recently that my storage is very low finding that Dell SupportAssist was taking up my CPU and memory. After deleting Dell SupportAssist I got my CPU and Memory back noting I also had a duplicate SupportAssist without the Dell, must of changed it's name and Dell OS recovery trying to find the root cause. After uninstalling Dell software I managed to obtain 3 GB in storage

Under the Dell directory. I still have a lot of storage being taken up by DTPDB.DB. Can this file be deleted or reduce the size?

Thanks for your support.

Sergio

I reached out to Dell and asked if the file in question is part of the build as SupportAssist application was preinstalled rereferring the below:

Unfortunately Dell Technical support haven't been very helpful getting no response to open ticket: 202312783.

I was facing the exact same problem.

Based on the information in this thread, I deleted the DB file, and it worked without any problems, and I was able to free up space on my C drive.

    私も今日Cドライブが0になっておかしいと思っていたら 私もそのファイルが無限に容量が増えていっていることに気づきました。 フォルダー名を変えて戻したら止まりました。 特に捨てても問題なかったです

    HI Dave,

    Thanks for your reply.

DTPDB.DB File in question is located in "C:\ProgramData\Dell\DTP\DB\DTPDB.DB"

If I were to uninstall the Dell Support Assist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell update would remove the DTPDB.DB file?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Where on your drive is that file located is it in the C:\ProgramData\Dell\SARemediation\Snapshots folder?

If it is that file is created by a Dell backup app you have installed on your PC, it is not the Windows system creating that file.
