As of yesterday (12/25/24) I took apart my computer and swapped cases, before hand 2 weeks before I clean installed windows and setup everything with no issues

I had all my drivers and software up to date, My hardware during that time was GPU: RTX 2060 gigabyte and CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 series After switching I put my new processor an "Ryzen 7 5700x" and booted up everything, I checked my device manager to see if my PC recognized it and my bios before that and they both checked out as normally, but when I tried to run COD It didn't work, It gave the ping of something went wrong and displayed this error, I did use the redist.exe(s) for all generations of the C++ and only my MVC++ 2015-22 redist(x64 & x86) ver 14.42.34433 did not work, I also had many other C++ versions but uninstalled them because no other software's are using the older ones on my machine, I did reinstall them though but it didn't change anything I also have the 2015-19 redist ver 14.29.30167.0 installed but I don't think my pc fully recognized them because when I had my older versions they had an different icon I tried repairing all C++ but only the 3 I have installed do not work when I repair/unistall, I also used MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta to unistall but it also did not work, I am stumped

I've already went into my registry and tried to delete every instance of Visual C++

I also went into my control panel>program>uninstall>all instances

of C++. I then reinstalled VC_redist.x64 and its counterpart VC_redist.x86 and

Hi Eli Koppelman,  Welcome to Microsoft Community. We're sorry to hear that your device is experiencing problems with the Visual C++ Redistributable component installation failing.

We understand your frustration. It is preventing you from running a specific application.

Just one thing to share with you is that we (members of the Answers community) are not product developers, we are just regular support people trying our best to provide support based on our limited experience and available information.

Based on the information you shared, “clean installed windows”, “MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall”, and the registry, it seems that you have tried the common ideas related to the Visual C++ Redistributable problem.

This leads us to consider the possibility of compatibility, user profile failures.

If possible, would you mind sharing more information about this issue with us?

    • Are the problems you are currently experiencing limited to Call of Duty games?
    • Would you mind testing some Windows with a relatively early build date to narrow down the issue for analysis?

SFC is essential for diagnosing and fixing issues caused by damaged Windows system files, which can lead to crashes, performance problems, or unexpected errors. By scanning the integrity of these files and automatically replacing faulty ones, SFC probably helps restore system stability.

Steps to Use System File Checker

    • Press Win or Win + S, type Command Prompt, right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.
    • Enter and execute the following commands (please enter one after the other)
    • You can copy a single command using a shortcut key and right mouse click in the Command Prompt window to quickly paste the copied command. If a single copy fails, you can repeat the copy operation.
      DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth <br><br><br><br> DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth <br><br><br><br> DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth <br><br><br><br> SFC /scannow
    • Please note the space before each "/"), and then press Enter. (**Note:**Every step may take a few minutes to start and complete.)

A local account provides an independent user environment on your device.  Observing under a different user profile helps to understand if the problem is specific to a corrupted user profile. Using Command Prompt ensures you can bypass user interface issues. To create a new local account via Command Prompt:

    • Press Win + S, type Command Prompt, right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.
    • Execute the command to create a new account, replace <Username> with the desired username, and <Password> with the desired password.
      net user "<Username>" "<Password>" /add
    • Execute the command to promote the account to admin level, replace <Username> with the desired username.
      net localgroup Administrators "<Username>" /add

In some cases, some community members have shared re-integrated one-click Visual C++ Redistributable installers.
