Hi

I'm trying to enable my winre.wim file:

but when I enter reagentc /info, I get this:

I've tryed to set path to winre.wim, but every methods are not working, it keeps saying that winre is disable

I'm searching for help, pls.

I too have the same problem. I'm updated to Win11 and my system restore USB (made when I first got the PC) is lacking the winre.wim file, so I can't copy it to the system. I wanted to make a new restore USB, but it won't let me because of this. I have read that it was maybe because I cloned my drive to a larger one, but I have nothing to fall back on now. Windows came pre-installed and there was no activation key or media to use to start over (therefor the worry over making a new restore drive).

The bottom line is that I don't want to start over. I just want to make a new recovery USB! If I have no way of adding a winre.wim file, and the reagentc won't enable, how the hell am I supposed to fix it? So far there's been NO answer for this anywhere. Everyone assumes that it will enable itself or that all PC's have a disk drive for a Windows disk, or that there's another PC laying around to copy from. Why can't Windows make a dummy file available so we can replace it with the disable/enable method? I'm at the end of my rope over this.

Sorry, I don’t understand your screenshot because I can only read English, maybe your system using French?
In order to compare with your screenshot I also run reagentc /info on my computer, we can see that there is a line sentence show:

Windows RE location: \?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition1\Recovery\WindowsRE
But on your screenshot, we can’t see this sentence, this should be the reason for WinRE disabled. You know, on a Windows 10 computer which have a normal WinRE enabled, the Recovery Partition which store WinRE tools must be 500MB or bigger. You could check it in Disk Management, if the situation is abnormal, you need to format disk and reinstall Windows 10.

I followed the tutorial mentionned it that post, and I was eventualy able to set a path to the recuperation image

but when I try to set a path to winre, it doesnt work

I read your comment (I don't speak French either, but what he posted is correct in English as well) and if someone wanted to reinstall Win10, that would work. The problem is getting that file back without a fresh install. I don't have that file either because it won't enable or populate one. Nothing I've read and tried will fix the issue so far. Also, I have plenty of space on my drive and even tried to leave unallocated space as well as a space with no drive path for it to write to. None of that has solved the problem. reagentc will not enable or populate. Please see my comment above for more details. TY
