Dear Abhishek556
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
I'm very sorry to hear that you're having trouble accessing your Instagram account.
Dealing with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) can indeed be tricky, especially if you don't have access to the authenticator app you set up.
However, I'd like to clarify that as a Microsoft Community technical support staff member, we do not have direct access or ability to access or manage any personal accounts, including Instagram or Microsoft accounts.
Since this is an IG account, many of these actions will still require you to contact Instagram support for further assistance after verifying account ownership.
The solution
- Try to restore access
Use alternate codes: When setting up dual authentication, a set of alternate codes is usually generated. Check if you have saved these codes and if so, you can use them to access your account.
Submit a recovery request via Instagram:
You can try requesting Instagram to send you a password reset link via your email or cell phone number, and then use that link to reset your password, which can sometimes help unlock 2FA.
- Contact Instagram Support
If you haven't already done so, you can continue to contact support through Instagram's Help Center:
Go to the Instagram Help Center and look at the “Can't Sign In” section for instructions on restoring your account. 4.
- Check emails and notifications
Check your email account associated with Instagram to see if you've received any relevant notifications or recovery links, especially possible warning messages or password reset requests.
Tips
- Avoid sharing personal information: When requesting help, make sure you don't share sensitive personal information and account details on public channels.
- Stay patient: It may take some time to recover or repair your account, so stay patient and check your email regularly for updates.
- As long as you can provide instagram support with enough evidence they should be able to help you reset your account, the two step verification just requires two types of verification, you can either verify your phone via password/reuse verification or verify your email.
Finally, if the above doesn't work, you can submit to Instagram support that your account has been hacked and ask to have it restored, they should ask you to email them a video of yourself holding up a specific verification code to confirm that this is what you did, this is the final solution.
We hope these tips help you regain access to your Instagram account.
Feel free to let me know if you have more specific information or follow-up questions.
Best Wish
