Hi Team,

We have Skype for business on-Prem environment in our Lab in local Domain.
For migration to Teams how we can proceed?

we have already gone through below documents but we need initial steps :

Upgrade from a Skype for Business on-premises deployment to Teams <https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/upgrade-to-teams-execute-skypeforbusinessonpremises>

Like if there is any particular pre-requisite :

  1. do we need to create our Domain in public internet to migrate to teams
  2. or we can do in existing local domain

Regards
Subrat

    Hi @Bhoi, Subrat ,

The key prerequisite for upgrading your users to Teams is to deploy hybrid. You could follow these steps to configure Skype for Business hybrid connectivity between Skype for Business Server and Teams:

Step1: Create a tenant account for Office 365.

Step2: Add your domain to your Office 365 organization and verify ownership.

Step3: Set up Active Directory synchronization.

Step4: Configure Skype for Business hybrid.

    a. Configure your on-premises environment to federate with Office 365.

    b. Configure your on-premises environment to trust Office 365 and enable shared SIP address space with Office 365.

    c. Enable shared SIP address space in your Office 365 organization.

    Step5: Move pilot users.

For more details about how to configure Skype for Business hybrid, you can refer to :
