MS Project Not displaying progress lines

I have set the status date, and selected dislay progress line, however, the progress line is not displayed or in some cases displayed some 12 to 18 months ealier. When I go to print the progress line is displayed in the correct location. I'm am using MS Project 365 and it has all the latest updates.
