Thank you for the reply. No no, absolutely not. No features will be removed if you Factory Reset. The features are Hardware aka NPU based, which is unique to the Copilot PC devices. We are here to help you further - good luck!

    Hello,

Thanks for the response, but I have a Copilot+PC that is running Windows 11. Will factory reset or reinstalling Windows remove the features that is included in a Copilot+PC?

    Thanks,

    Hi Bhatia,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

The bad news is that you can only restore the backup when configuring the new computer for the first time. I am afraid you will have to Factory Reset the computer again to restore the backup.

How do I restore this backup?

We have your back! When you get a new PC or if you have to reinstall Windows, when you are setting it up, just log in with the same Microsoft account that you used to make the backup here. We'll see that you have backups and ask you if you would like to restore one.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
